Meiners Septic regularly works with all types of residential property owners in the planning, installation and maintenance of their septic systems. This includes single family homes, condominiums and apartment complexes. In each of these settings, we can provide the following septic and aerobic services:

Aerobic and septic system planning and consultation

We can assess your property’s soil conditions, layout, water table and other property-specific conditions to determine what type of septic system will work best for your wastewater needs. We can size the system properly, design the drain field and attain the permits necessary for installation.

Aerobic and septic system installation

Once the septic or aerobic system is planned, we will install it according to best industry practices. This includes clearing the site, excavating soil for the tank, placing the septic tank (or aerobic treatment unit), setting up the drain field and installing any other system components, such as risers, distribution boxes and filters.

Aerobic and septic system maintenance and repair

We can also provide ongoing, preventative maintenance for residential septic and aerobic systems. This includes pump-outs, filter replacement and visual inspections to check for any mechanical or structural flaws.

Aerobic and septic system planning and consultation

Commercial septic systems are large, more complex and take up a larger footprint. We are experienced in planning and installing these larger commercial systems, so we can identify the optimal wastewater system and plan it in detail for commercial property owners.

Aerobic and septic system installation

Once your commercial septic system is planned and designed out, we will bring in the heavy equipment to your site to clear the land and excavate the areas intended for system components. If necessary, we can install additional treatment technology, such as a treatment tank for your aerobic system.

Aerobic and septic system maintenance and repair

Once your wastewater system is installed and operational, we can also provide ongoing maintenance services to ensure the system remains in optimal condition. Maintenance is highly recommended for aerobic treatment units because they are typically located in areas with higher water tables and in areas where the soil is not as stable.

Meiners Septic offers extended maintenance contracts to residential and commercial property owners, up to two years. With a maintenance contract in place, property owners can rest assured that their septic or aerobic system will be protected from wear-related failures. Aerobic systems require regular maintenance to maintain their reliability and prevent filter blockages.

Maintenance contracts include preventative services like regular pump-outs to remove sludge and scum, filter inspections and component replacements (when necessary). All maintenance services are provided by our licensed and certified technicians.

Real Estate Septic and Aerobic System Inspections

Meiners also assists real estate agents and companies with wastewater system inspections. During a real estate septic system inspection, our technicians will check the state of the property’s septic or aerobic system – to verify that the property is ready for a tenant. If issues or concerns are spotted in the wastewater system, our technicians can recommend a fix and provide repairs or maintenance. We can also help plan a new septic or aerobic system if the existing system needs to be removed and replaced.

Residential and Commercial Septic System Decommissioning

Eventually, every septic system will need to be decommissioned and replaced, ideally before it fails and causes a much more expensive and damaging problem.

During decommissioning, our technicians will inspect the system to first determine its condition and the likelihood of problems occurring during removal. The system is then disconnected from the property’s plumbing system and isolated. The septic tank is pumped out and cleared of sludge and scum, and the resulting waste is disposed of safely.

Our technicians will then excavate the septic tank, drain field and all connecting components. Alternatively, the system may be sealed and left in place, which can be done safely. Finally, the site is backfilled and graded to restore the property’s appearance, before a final inspection is done to ensure everything has been done accordingly.
